A 'date' (well I hope it will be one)... should I bring flowers or a bottle of wine? Going to the cinema...

You may recoignise me from an email I sent earlier. I might be meeting my ex next week and goign to the cinema. I want to get her something, but should I get flowers or a bottle of wine... wine bing easier to carry and not in the way at the cinema...

A %26#039;date%26#039; (well I hope it will be one)... should I bring flowers or a bottle of wine? Going to the cinema...
Homer J ...Lmao

It doesn%26#039;t matter what you bring ... but if any .. bring some charisma.

That will impress her more than anything you can buy.

Dr bad
Reply:thats better ,,... now you seem to have the right idea ;-~) Report It

Reply:flowers. you may not be able to go in the cinema with your own alchol.
Reply:how about something different like christmas crackers or a pair of gloves in case her fingers get cold on the way to the restaurant afterwards... (just for something strangely different...) if you are going to the cinema wine is the wrong choice, even if you are eating out after, you probably wouldnt be able to open it there. how about a really pretty gift box with a selection of pick and mix for the cinema, or a really posh small box of chocs. use your imagination. flowers will be cumbersome to her when she goes to sit in the cinema, especially if she needs to pop out to the bathroom. good luck with the date.
Reply:Take her for a nice romantic meal, she won%26#039;t want to carry flowers or a bottle of wine on a date, unless you are meeting her at her house, if so, then take both........Good luck, you sound like a really nice guy. X
Reply:both
Reply:Does bringing something make you look....like you have an agenda? (Maybe you have, but it shouldn%26#039;t LOOK like it)

Treat her to dinner afterwards, and if you really feel you need to get her something, make it something small but personal that says %26#039;I like you, so I though hard about this%26#039; ie NOT flowers, wine or chocolates. Does she like music? Maybe that CD she%26#039;s been after for ages... or....its tricky when you don%26#039;t know her, but I%26#039;m sure you can think of something. (For example, my husband bid for a CD single from eBay. He knew I%26#039;d been after it for years, and it didn%26#039;t cost him much, but it let me know that he%26#039;d been thinking about me. And listening!
Reply:expensive chocolates..
Reply:If you are going to her house first then take some flowers but if you are meeting her outside then take nothing..you might be able to pick up a red rose that people sell in the street.
Reply:Bag of Butterkist popcorn will do just fine.
Reply:tell her ur desperate for a shag . that always works
Reply:a flask of Jim Beam (half emptyed)

She%26#039;s your ex. Put her in her place. Nothing says you don%26#039;t really care than letting her know that you had to get half drunk on second-rate whiskey just to power through an evening with her.
Reply:flowers will always go down well... roses for love
Reply:i say flowers, especially if one of u drives a bug... cuz they have vases built right in!!! but a bottle of wine would be nice too. even though i am against acohol
Reply:If this is your ex, how did your relationship end last time? If it was you that called it quits, then it%26#039;s perhaps OK to bring something.. But otherwise.. Don%26#039;t sound too %26#039;desperate%26#039; ;) The simple fact that you%26#039;re with her that evening should be the reward for her. ;)

And wine for a lady? Plus you don%26#039;t have a place to store it during the cinema?

Why don%26#039;t you take her to the restaurant and pay the bill?
Reply:BRING BOTH AND SPOIL HER YOU MAY GET REWARDED
Reply:i say flowers. us girls love flowers. and trust me i wouldn%26#039;t mind lugging them around cuz i%26#039;d be showing them off to all the other girls thinking to myself %26quot;look at what i%26#039;ve got!%26quot;
Reply:You can%26#039;t take wine into the cinema with you. She might think you are hinting at going back to hers to drink the wine after the flicks, she might think that%26#039;s too pushy. A smallish box of chocs might be e better idea. Flowers?......a bit too corney. If there is a flower seller outside the cinema when you come out then maybe, show her you can be spontaneous. Otherwise send her flowers the next day with a note.
