What type of flowers or plants do well in a very moist area? I have a flower bed that gets a lot of run-off.?

This area is also shady. It does not stand in water, but the ground is always damp.

Reply:Ferns, palms, any fern they love the damp and moist any tropical plant they thrive in the rainforest.
Reply:Impatiens would love that! They are very colorful %26amp; maintainance-free, and bloom all summer.


My great aunt called them her %26quot;every day bloomers%26quot;, lol!
Reply:HOSTAS!!! they do great in shady wet areas. They have beautiful flowers too.
Reply:if you have a long summer season then a banana plant will work beautifully---- altho you will need to protect the plant in cold weather.
Reply:Astilbe like moist shady areas. They come in a few different colors.
