What flowers work well to press?

I made cards last year to fund my trip to china to work in an orphanage..... I%26#039;m planning on doing the same again this year..... the only flower i found that worked was the passion flower....

any ideas?! =]

What flowers work well to press?
Buttercups and daisies, pansy%26#039;s as they are flat already.

I haven%26#039;t pressed flowers for years. I used to put them in a heavy book in between greaseproof paper, and make bookmarks out of them.
Reply:Any flower with a single row of petals should press well. They dry most quickly. Craft shops like Michael%26#039;s actually sell presses with layers of cardboard and tightening screws with butterflies on them.

Reply:lots of primroses round our way , and probably elsewhere - woodland margins . They would work but may lose some of their colour.
