Which flowers do well in the shade and during winter and which ones are the all year rounders?

PINK PRINCESS ESCALLONIA is a great nearly year round bloom.

If you live somewhere that the winter is mild try Winter daphne they smell wonderful.











As far as shade goes try some of these. Look them up to see if you like the look. Remember flowers grow slower in the shade so buy big plants.








Alchemilla mollis


Arisaema triphyllum


Astilbe arendsii


Hosta hybrid


Krossa Regal a lot of lilies do good in shade.

Reply:Impatient and New Guinna Impatient are a great flower for shade different varieties of hostas can make a big splash and of course azaleas for their foliage and the blooms are wonderful.

Hosta%26#039;s and astillbes there are certain ground cover that does very well in the shade and come back year after year. There are also ferns,lily of the valley does well in shade, Impatients, do great in shade but they are just an annual.


You need to go visit some nursery%26#039;s in your area and see what they can tell you. Good luck
