I have not yet decided the Orchid combination at our wedding. My fiancé has chosen Orchids (green or white). What do you think would make a good bouquet for me and a good bouquet for my bridesmaids? If you have suggestions on groomsmen boutonnières or other corsages PLEASE let me know!
What Flowers go well with Orchids?
Here is a site I found for you that shows some orchid bouquets

Your bouquet needs to be the biggest and have another color that draws the eye to it and you of course. Your bridesmaids need smaller ones with a different drawing color. Maybe another color in your wedding.

I hope this helped. Have fun planning your wedding!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
Reply:There are a lot of flowers that go well with orchids ... calla lilies, roses and gerberas are a few choices. Orchids won%26#039;t be the bulk of the bouquet, though, because they can get to be very expensive (some are as high as $10 a stem). The gentlemen can wear callas or roses and the same goes for the mothers and grandmothers. A great trend is giving the mothers and grandmothers an actual replica bouquet, much smaller than yours of course, to carry instead of a wrist or pinned corsage.
Reply:Try the knot.com and weddingchannel.com you can also try typing in orchid bouquets into yahoo image search that might be your best bet
Reply:Since there are so many varieties of orchids - phalenopsis are a traditional wedding ordhid - you really need to first sit down and decide which one(s) you want to use. If you want the traditional bridal bouquet of phalenopsis and white roses with stephanotis that%26#039;s one look.
Here%26#039;s a link to MANY orchid bouquets samples along with styles and colors. Good Luck picking just one! LOL

Reply:Orchids are such beautiful flowers and can make a fantastic bridal bouquet. White orchids with a small yellow flower and greens are lovely in a cascade bouquet for a bride. For bridesmaids and maid/matron of honor, I would choose a colored orchid, perhaps purple, or pink.
The lady slipper orchid, which is usually white and pink, would be nice on your groomsmen.
Congrats and best wishes on your impending marriage!
Reply:I am having orchids in my bouquet, too. This is the description of my bouquet per the florist:
hand tied bouquet with cymbidium orchids, white and creme roses, yellow fresia and pale yellow stock, lemon leaf collar wrapped in white satin with pearl pins.
My bridesmaids descriptions are:
white and creme roses, yellow fresia and pale yellow stock, lemon leaf collar and stem wrapped in creme satin with green ballet tie.
Your florist will know all of the combinations that will look great with orchids. I have seen a picture of my bouquet and it is absolutely beautiful! I saved the orchids for myself as they are a special flower (it was my florists suggestion that I keep the orchids just for my bouquet).
My colors are sage green and creme. Depending on what your wedding colors will be you may wish to use different colors.
Good luck!
Reply:Since Orchids are expensive, try to mix it with a flower that looks elegant but is much cheaper. Have one large orchid mixed in with white lilies, for example, and green fern-like leaves for the bridesmaids. The bride, for course, should have more orchids in a cascade bouquet. Give the groom and groomsmen all a single orchid boutonniere.
Do an image seach for orchid bouquet to get ideas. I love this one:
